Lehrveranstaltung: The Concept of Sustainability for the Implementation of Successful Strucutural Change (englischsprachig)

Dauer: 6 days (block seminar)

Bildungsziele:
The lecture will illustrate why the concept of sustainability is crucial for a successful implementation of structural change processes and which conditions are constitutive for the implementation of a "sustainable" structural change in European regions.

Inhalte: Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), “Deutsche Nachhaltigskeitsstrategie”, European Green Deal, theoretical approaches on structural change (interdisciplinary), historical and current structural change processes using the example of North Rhine-Westphalia, specific aspects of industrial transformation, social acceptance and Just Transition approaches.

Methoden:
Presentations, individual and group work, discursive exchange on the method of debating, exercises in individual and group work.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen: Willingness to actively participate in the entire seminar.

Anwesenheitspflicht:
Attendance for this event is compulsory in accordance with § 15 Abs. 5 of the General Examination Regulations for the Bachelor and Master courses at Bochum University of Applied Sciences (Rahmenprüfungsordnung).
